Prospective hirers may wish to arrange activities for other’s children or vulnerable adults. If this involves regular, unsupervised contact with the same group, the prospective hirer may need to obtain advice from the Disclosure & Barring Service.
The Hirer shall provide the Memorial Hall Committee with a copy of their DBS check and Child Protection Policy on request, but in all cases the Hirer agrees to assume sole responsibility for the safety and well-being of any children and vulnerable adults attending their events.
Hirers who sub-hire eg childrens entertainers are responsible for ensuring that these persons have appropriate safeguarding registration.
